Consuela was the beloved mother of Keisha, Caleel, Kaden, Chanelle, and Kendra, and the cherished grandmother of Lanaiyah, Amina, Kameiro, and Zahcari. She was the adored daughter of Malcolm Flatts (Susan Grogan), and was predeceased by her loving mother, Anita Trotman. She will be deeply missed by her sisters and brother Joel, Opheilia, and Kevin Flatts, as well as her many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and countless friends.
Consuela will always be remembered for her selflessness, warmth, and unwavering love for her family. She was the heart of every gathering — known for her laughter, her generosity, and, of course, her famous mac pie. She found joy in dancing, listening to music, cooking, and watching sports & soap operas — especially basketball, as a proud Toronto Raptors fan, as well as the Super Bowl and WNBA games. Professionally, Consuela dedicated her life to caring for others.
She worked as a child care provider and cook, and also spent time at Wellwood, where she supported families and children coping with loved ones battling cancer. Her compassion and strength touched the lives of everyone she met. Consuela’s legacy is one of love, resilience, and kindness. She will be forever remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend — and as someone whose presence brought comfort, joy, and light to all who knew her. Forever in our hearts, her love will continue to guide and inspire us always. A private family service will be held. Arrangements entrusted to Cresmount Funeral Home.
