My deepest sympathy for your family  loss of wife mom grandmother and  great friend  that had great smile and did not  pull punches  she said what was on her mind an cared for people who she cared for .she loved John and her kids Anthony and  Cassandra they joy of her life  as well her brother  an family  an friend  shared laughs  with  jokes rest peace Darlene

John, my condolences to you and your family, Darlene will always be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother as well as a good friend and neighbor.   We had many evenings sitting on our porches and chatting across the  railings.  She will be missed

Sympathy and prayers to the Martin Family we know Darlene from the band Neon Rain (1st bass player known as "BUD") and my wife and Darlene shared the same birth date (Sept. 18th) and also related to Ida (Marion) Knight, Uncle Joe's wife on the Knight side of the family I found out later. We met in high school at caledon secondary u were a great friend always helping out especially for the salvation donations around Christmas time in Walmart it was always nice to see her we say a few words darlene also drove for darts she drove my Down syndrome daughter Haley home one day surprised to see her we chatted and she went on her way she was a good friend  u will always be missed and never be forgotten friend

It’s  Anthony your son. I just want to say I miss you and love you, so much more than I could ever express ...  you taught me how to be a great Dad, Husband, and human ... you taught me it all. I’m so grateful to call you my Mom.

Darlene and I met in high-school, she befriended me right away. We soon became a bunch of friends. We had so many awesome times. We were all long time friends. Lots of parties, dancing, dinners, weddings. I was there the day Anthony was born. I will love you and miss you my friend, I whisper into her ear before she got her wings. R.I.P. 

I met Darlene (& Gordie) just a few short years ago.
We stayed in touch on Facebook, sometimes I laughed sometimes I just shock my head, come on you know you did too!
