It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Darryl de Kock, on October 26, 2020 at the age of 65.
Darryl was born on October 15th, 1955 in Cape Town, South Africa. He was a gifted teacher who embraced his calling with passion and enthusiasm. He worked tirelessly to make a difference in the lives of his students and has, throughout his career, left an indelible mark on many young minds across three continents.
He was a man of deep faith which sustained him through some of the challenging times in his life. He was also a loving and caring husband, father, brother, cousin, nephew, uncle and friend who believed that life was meant to be lived to the fullest as witnessed by his teaching stints in Asia and his frequent travels across the globe.
Darryl will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 24 years, Rochelle, his children, Hayley (Mark), Megan (Peter), Leigh-Ann (Sam) and Ashley and his seven grandchildren, Marissa, Savannah, Cecilia, Matthew, Mackenzie, Dylan and Luca.
He will also be greatly missed by his siblings Kevin (Trina), Gary (Paula), Ingrid (Mark), Lynton (Sharon), Rick (Jill) and many nephews, nieces, cousins, family members, and friends around the world.
Darryl was predeceased by his parents William (Sonny) and Margaret; and niece, Carrie-Ann.
