David was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Marilyn Dixon. He is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Inge. Dear brother to Bruce (Linda), Michael (Katherine) and Wendy. He will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
David was born in Scarborough moving with the family to Etobicoke at a young age where he completed his public-school education at Richview Collegiate. Anxious for adventure and his independence, David moved north of Toronto where he worked for many years at Muskoka Sands Inn (now Taboo Resort). It was there that David was introduced to the Seventh Day Adventist Church and met the love of his life, Inge. Before his failing health and retirement, Dave worked in the restaurant and retail industries which took him to Red Deer, Alberta before returning to Ontario, where he and Inge eventually settled into their current house in Hamilton. The two constants throughout David’s adult life were Inge and the Seventh Day Adventist Church where he was a devoted and long-time member. He will be greatly missed by his family and his church community.
