Passed away quietly, after a lengthy illness, surrounded by family and friends at the Juravinski Hospital on Sunday, November 20, 2011 at the age of 60. Beloved husband of Deb (nee Ross). Cherished father of Jennifer Montesanto (Steve), Paula Clifford (Jacob) and Megan Prentice (Jon). Loving papa of Ali, Ciana, Lindsey, David, James, Avery and Zach. Loved son of Joan Prentice and the late Walter, son-in-law of Joe Ross and the late Mary. Dear brother of Barry (Lynda), Janet (Ian), Sheila and the late Keith. Will be sadly missed by many, nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends. David was a longtime employee of National Steel Car with over 30 years of service. Special thanks to the Juravinski and St. Joseph’s Hospitals for their exceptional care. Cremation has taken place. Memorial Gathering at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Wednesday, November 23, 2011 from 6-9 pm.
