Surrounded by the love of her children, Dora entered into the peaceful arms of the Lord on January 16, 2026 in her 82nd year. She is joyfully reunited with her beloved husband of 49 years, Salvatore Mule.
Loving mother of Carmela and Brian Kempen, Tina and Carmelo Runco, Lina and Richard Santamaria and Tony and Humberta Mule. Cherished Nonna of Chloe, Calvin, Chase, Julio, Carina, Mirella, Emilio, Hailey and Avery. Predeceased by her parents Antonio and Clementina Filice, and in-laws Calogero and Carmela Mule. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Michele and Anna Filice, the late Maria and the late Eugenio Leone, the late Ada Filice, the late Raffaele Filice, the late Pietro and Maria Filice, Francesco and the late Flora Filice, Margherita and Alberto DiPietro, Grazia and the late Calogero Giglia, the late Rosa and the late Pio Tondo.
Dora enjoyed the simple things in life and surrounding herself with family and friends brought her much joy. She had a generous heart, a deep faith, and above all else a love for her family. She is loved and will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
A special thank you to the staff at St. Peter’s Hospital, Palliative Care Unit. We could not have made it through her final days without the exceptional compassion, empathy and dignified care they provided for our mother.
Visitation will be held at Markey Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street E., Hamilton on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 from 2-4 pm and 6-9 pm. Vigil prayers will be offered at 6:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Eugene’s Roman Catholic Church, 232 Queenston Rd., Hamilton, on Thursday, January 22, 2026 at 11:00 am. Burial to follow at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery, Burlington. If desired, donations made to St. Peter’s Hospital or Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by her family.
