Doris May MacDonald

Peacefully in her 90th year at home at Shalom Village, Hamilton, where she resided for the last 5 years, on Tuesday, July 16, 2013. Beloved wife of the late Reverend Kenneth John MacDonald (1989). Mom to Paul MacDonald (Claire) of B.C., Laurie Cunningham-LeBlanc (Paul LeBlanc) of Brampton, Carol MacDonald of B.C. Cherished Grandmother to Tiffany MacDonald, Sean Cunningham (Marlene Benedicto), Kelly Doerr (Mark), and Kim Cunningham. Great-grandmother to Haydyn Ella Doerr. Dearest twin sister of Jean Riches, and sister of the late Hugh Riches, and survived by many nieces and nephews from Arizona. Doris was a long time member of MacNab Street Presbyterian Church, where she was a member of the choir for many years. She was a choir member of the Geritol Follies for 17 years and enjoyed travelling with them all over the world. Thank you to the staff at Shalom Village Rehab for their care over the past few weeks, and a special thank you to the staff in the apartments at Shalom Village for the past 5 years. Visitation will be held at the MARLATT FUNERAL HOME, 615 Main St. East (east of Sanford), Hamilton, on Thursday, July 18 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the Marlatt Memorial Chapel on Friday, July 19, 2013 at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow.
