Proud and cherished father of Amy, and Robert (Kassandra). Eddy was thrilled that he was going to be a grandfather for the first time in the coming weeks. His love will always carry through to his grandchild. Predeceased by his parents Douglas and Ther Tham and his mother-in-law Mary Archer. Son-in-law of Edward “Ted” Archer. Dear brother of Rita Lee. Brother-in-law of Cindy Campbell (Douglas), Lynn Baarschers (Jeff), Ted Archer (Shelley), and Jason Archer. Eddy will be lovingly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Eddy retired from Stelco after 30 years of dedicated service. He will be missed by his many colleagues. He was passionate about roller skating, where he and Janice would spend many nights at Pier 8 with friends listening to classic roller skating tunes. Eddy considered his many neighbours family and will be dearly missed by all of them.
Visitation at the Markey-Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A service to celebrate Eddy’s life will take place in the chapel on Friday, August 2, 2019 at 12 p.m. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers donations to the Hamilton/Burlington S.P.C.A. or the Cancer Assistance Program would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
