

CHAMBERLAIN, Edna Irene (nee McCready) On Friday, February 21, 2014, in her 91st year. Edna peacefully slipped away to hold hands and dance forever with her dearly loved husband Murray (August 8, 2009). Edna was absolutely devoted to her family. Dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Valerie and David, Charles and Sharon Murray and Evelyn, Lois and Dave and Lisa (late Donald). Treasured grandmother of her 18 grandchildren, their spouses and her adored 18 great-grand-children. Loving sister-in-law to Arnold, Norma, Carol and John, Aunt Edna to many nieces, nephews and their families. Dear cousin of the Merritt, Robinson and McCready families. Edna cherished the friendships she made in life growing up on the farm in Caistor Centre, the NSC Staff House doing her part for the war effort, 61 years at 215 East 25th, worshipping at Mt. Hamilton United Church, C.H.A. meetings and travelling far and wide with Murray to the R. C. E. M. E. reunions and so many others in her heart. Edna is reunited with her parents, Charlie and Annie McCready, brothers Lewis and Albert, nephew Raymond, niece Laurie, parents-in-law Alister and Valerie and in-laws Betty, George, Kay, Duncan, Wallace, Anna, Inez, Frank, Vern and Marjorie. The family wishes to thank the dedicated caregivers of Wentworth Lodge/Oak Lane for their kindness and compassion shared with us at this difficult time. Visitation will be held at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Avenue East on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday, February 27, 2014 at 11 a.m. Interment at White Chapel Memorial Gardens to follow. If desired, a donation in Edna's memory to the M.S. Society or a charity of your choice would be sincerely appreciated. "Rest in peace Mom, you will be greatly missed. Forever in our hearts."
