Eileen was married to her soulmate, John Hutt, for over 56 years. She is the love of John’s life and passed away in his arms. Eileen was a loving and devoted mother to Beverly and James. She was the proud grammy to Cassandra, James, and Alexander and actively involved in their childhoods.
Eileen was born and raised in Lake George, Nova Scotia and is loved and missed by her brother Alton Lutz, her sister Altee Hodges, and her cousin and best friend Phyllis Hirtle. In Hamilton, Eileen's close childhood friend Kathy McDonald is one of many friends who are now missing her.
Besides being a dedicated and loving homemaker, wife and mother, Eileen worked for too many years to count as an office cleaner in various offices throughout Hamilton before spending over 13 years cleaning the offices of the Hamilton Children’s Aid Society, retiring only due to medical reasons. Eileen took well deserved pride in her work and was adored and valued by those who were lucky enough to know her in that role.
Gratitude and thanks go to the staff who cared for Eileen at Grace Villa Nursing Home for the last 9 months of her life.
