Born in 1930, Eileen lived through nearly a century of remarkable change, facing challenges with strength and resilience. She was truly a force to be reckoned with.
Eileen was the beloved daughter of Alice (née Skinner) and George Simms, she was one of six siblings and is survived by her brother Bill Simms (late Ada), and predeceased by Dorothy Warwick, Lillian Mounsteven (late Jack) George Simms (late Phyllis) and Marjorie Free (late Harvey).
Her memory will live on in the hearts of her children, Sharon Hennig (Bob), Susan McTaggart (Ossy), Bill McTaggart (Cindy), Eileen Puglisi (Joe) and is reunited with her beloved son, Robert McTaggart (Cathy). Her family tree stretches wide, with 16 grandchildren (including predeceased by David Hennig), 19 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren — each a thread in the rich tapestry of her life.
Eileen’s spirit will be forever remembered in the stories we share, often accompanied by laughter and sometimes with a fond eye roll.
