Reunited with her beloved husband Robert "Roy" Bailey, her parents Jimmy and Molly Carson, her sister Ina, and brothers Jim and Victor.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children Robert (Josie) Bailey and Jeanette (Scott) Jordan, grandchildren Connor, Dale, Jocelyn, and Chelsea, brother Billy (Irene), nieces Liz and Lynn (Jim), nephew Peter, cousin Margaret, and extended family in Canada and Northern Ireland.
Betty grew up in Carrickfergus, Northern Ireland and moved with her young family to Canada in 1967.
They settled and made their lives in Hamilton. She was a stay at home mother when her children were young, she worked as a Secretary then went back to school and graduated from College to become a Medical Transcriptionist at the Hamilton Psychiatric Hospital.
Roy and Betty were competitive Ballroom Dancers in Northern Ireland and became the Amatuer Canadian Champions in 1970. After turning professional, they opened and operated the Bailey School of Dancing in Gore Park, Hamilton.
The family wish to thank all of the various medical professionals that have cared for Betty over the years.
Visitation will take place at the Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Avenue East, Hamilton on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 from 11 am - 1 pm with the Funeral Service to celebrate her life taking place in the Cresmount Chapel at 1 pm. Cremation will follow.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to The Willow Foundation would be appreciated by her family.
