It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother in her 74th year. She was a devoted mother, grandma and nanna. She will be greatly missed by daughters Margaret Freeborn and Michele Carter. She is predeceased by husband Roy, parents: Margaret and Harry Lindsay, and siblings: Russell, Judson (Buddy) and Carm Downey. She will be sadly missed by sister Margaret Lindsay. She was cherished grandma to Tanis Freeborn, Buddy Carter and Dylan Freeborn. Nanna adored and was adored by her great grandchildren; Jackson, Loxley, and Barrett. Aunt Betty was loved and will be missed by many cousins, nieces and nephews as well as close friends. Funeral services will be held at Markey-Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street East. Visitation is on Monday, August 28th from 2pm – 4pm and 6pm -8pm and the service is on Tuesday, August 29th at 1pm. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Autism Ontario Hamilton, 533 Main St E, L8M 1H9 would be greatly appreciated by the family. Special thanks to the staff at the General Hospital for their care.
