

She is reunited with her beloved husband, Harry Kwasney (1977) and son Gary Kwasney (2020). She was also predeceased by her siblings John (Ann), Fred (Late Eileen), Mike (Late Bertha), Anne (Late Donald), and Adeline (Late Sam), and her long time companion Mel Maelbrancke.
Loving mother of Debbie (John), Darlene (Adolf), Cindy (Bruce), and daughter in-law Cathy. Loving grandmother of Robbie (Stacy), Tommy (Renee), Melodie (Cory), Joey (Shannon), Darren (Christina), Amanda (Grant), Crystal, Hayley (Luke), Samantha (Greg), Kayleigh (Peter), Brogan (Mark), and Courtney (Kyle) and 22 great-grandchildren. She will also be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, especially Dave Fletcher at Macassa Lodge.
Elsie was born in Gronlid, Saskatchewan to Peter and Margaret Panchyshyn, one of six children. The family moved to Burlington, Ontario when she was a child.
Elsie enjoyed dancing, country music, polkas, going to her cottage on Lake Erie, spending winters in Florida. She loved her dog, Candy and her family, especially her grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to Visitation at the Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Avenue East, Hamilton on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 from 10 am to noon. The Funeral Service will follow at 12 pm in the Cresmount Chapel. Burial at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
