Elsie Patricia Mullin

Our family is heartbroken to announce the passing of our matriarch, Elsie Mullin, on January 11, 2026, at 87 years old. Elsie is predeceased by her parents, brothers, and loving husband of 63 years, Selwyn, who we are sure were waiting to welcome her.

Mom to Shayne (Darlene), Debbie, and Randy (Nancy). Nanny to Jeff, Joanna, Evan (Mel), Steve (Amanda), Nick (Melanie), Jessica (Dennis) and Luke (Jenna). Nanny/Big Nan/GG Nan to Alexis, Aiden, Charlotte, Holly, Lilly, Daphne and Finn. She will be missed by her 6 sisters whom she loved with all her heart, many nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers and sisters-in-law and friends. Elsie had a special gift for building community and spent hours on the phone keeping up with friends and family from her hometown of Gaspe, Quebec across the country to British Columbia.

It's hard to put into words how much she means to us and how much we will miss her. She is the irreplaceable cornerstone of our family. We will miss her home cooked meals, baked bread, long talks, random gifts and all of her Elsie-isms. We may even come to miss taking her up and down every aisle at Dollarama more times than we can count.

We are so grateful to Dr. Bibic, Dr. To, her favourite PSW Salmah, and the staff at St. Peter's Hospital; we truly could not have asked for a better team to care for someone we love so much. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
