Eric Dukes

Born on November 7, 1988, Eric was a cherished son to his mother, Candyce Marcotte (and step-father Markus), and his father, Charles Dukes.

Eric was a devoted father to his daughters, Madison Dukes (12), whose mother is Ashley Mallon and daughter Hanna Dukes (16).

He found joy in a wide range of hobbies including ice skating, baseball, boxing, weightlifting, cooking, fishing, drawing, and video games. Beyond his personal pursuits, Eric had a passion for motorcycles and cats, and above all, he treasured time spent with his family and friends.

Eric was the beloved grandson of the late Bob and Bev Dukes. He will be profoundly missed by his surviving sister, Lindsey Dukes (Brent) (and brother-in-law Chris), his grandparents Fay and Gilles, and his niece Brook. He will also be deeply missed by his aunts and uncles: Michelle (Paul), Christy (Eric), Tom (Cheryl), Lonna (Chris), and Cheryl (Jim), as well as his cousins: Brandon, Dillon, Colten, CJ, Christa, Dan, and Meagan.

Eric was a man of boundless empathy, compassion, and love. Eric had a contagious laughter that could effortlessly spread joy to those around him. This means his laughter was so infectious that it often made others laugh along with him, even if they didn't know the reason for his amusement.

He was loved by many and will be missed by all whose lives he touched. He was deeply loved and will be deeply missed, always remembering his mother’s heartfelt phrase, "Love you more than pie,” and his phrase, “Hi, it’s me, Eric Dukes. I think mom’s mad at me.”

Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 7th, 2025 at 1:00 pm located at the Gathering Place (beside the bingo hall) 2593 Chiefswood Rd. Ohsweken, ON N3W 2G9
