Ester might be small in stature and may seem quiet but her presence spoke volumes. She will be remembered for her inner strength and the biggest heart. This was seen in the generosity, caring and thoughtful ways that she devoted her life to her family and lived out her Catholic faith.
Ester extended this compassion of service to others as a retired Registered Nurse. She worked in the USA and spent 35 years at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Hamilton. When she retired, she continued to volunteer at the church.
She showed her love through many acts of kindness. Those closest to her saw this through her gift of gardening and experienced this through her thoughtful gifts and baking for special occasions. Many will remember her for her cakes at their birthdays, baptisms and anniversaries.
Ester enjoyed the big moments, but also made the everyday special with her devoted husband Peter of 49 years. She loved cruises, pilgrimages and her " exercise " to the casino. One of her greatest joys was sharing in raising her granddaughter Nora with her daughter Pam.
She may have had many trials and health problems in life but she never gave up on her faith. She remained devoted and never complained. Ester was surrounded by her loving family at the end, until she was greeted by a heavenly embrace by her daughter Marites, sister Norma and parents.
Ester will be missed by many family members. She's a wife, a mother, a sister (Manang), an aunt (Tita), and a grandmother (Lola) to many.
We are grateful for the love and kindness you have shown us. You have overcome through faith and love. You taught us true perseverance and inner strength. We love you and we will remember you.
