Ethel Audrey Brookes

Peacefully in her sleep Ethel passed away on December 10, 2016 after a full life of 96 years. Predeceased by her husbands Ivan Brookes and Alfred Brellisford. Beloved mother of Laurie Brellisford. Cherished grandma of Tarrah (Adam) Long, Paula Brellisford (Grant) and Damian (Lindsay) Brellisford. Devoted and loving great grandma of Abigail, Ruby-Anne, Mary, Isaiah, Caoilainn, Audrey, Adam, Alastriona, Jaxon, Emmie, Lincoln and Leyla. Dearly missed by her nephew Rob (Randi) Fraser, niece Bonnie (Dennis) Griffin and their families. Ethel was a dear woman who will be remembered for many things, especially her smile. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her pride and joy. Ethel in years past was a VP at Hamilton Rose Society, a member of the Horticultural Society at the RBG and won many awards for her beautiful roses. She was very fond of the Christmas season decorating, baking and spending time with family. Ethel will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Visitation for Ethel will be held at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME 322 Fennell Avenue East on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 from 4-8 p.m. Cremation to follow. A private interment will be held at a later date. For those who wish, donations to the Hamilton and Halton Alzheimer Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
