Dad was born in Saint-Bruno-de-Guigues, QC. Dad had five brothers and one sister. He and his family moved to Rouyn-Noranda, where he met the love of his life, Jeannine. They were married on September 29th, 1956. In 1967, Dad graduated from Firefighter School from the Royal Canadian Air Force. Dad and Mom, along with their three children at the time, moved to Senneterre to pursue his career as a firefighter at the Air Force base. In 1970, Dad and Mom decided to relocate to Hamilton, ON, with now, their four children, where he began employment in the trucking industry.
Dad always had a passion for sports. Growing up, he played competitive hockey for “Les Éclairs de Rouyn-Noranda”, baseball and enjoyed playing golf. In his later years, he enjoyed watching hockey and baseball, especially Les Canadiens de Montréal (The Habs) and the Toronto Blue Jays.

Firmin’s family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Juravinski Hospital, particularly in 4-C and the ICU, for giving us the opportunity to be with him as he took his last breath. A special thank you to Carmen and Terry for their unwavering support over the past few years.
May he rest in peace, embraced by God’s everlasting love. Firmin will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
