

It is with heavy hearts that her children announce the passing of Florence Vivian McInroy, on April 4th 2016 at the Brant Care Center in Burlington, Ontario. Born in Minto, New Brunswick, on November 19th 1920, she was the daughter of Pearl and Luke Power. A gifted learner, Florence was awarded Governor General and Lieutenant Governor academic medals at Minto High School. While living on Crockett Street, in Hamilton, Ontario from 1950 to 2007, she was very active in Sacred Heart Parish, having been involved with the PTA, CWL and choir. Florence was the beloved mother of Sandra Hennessey, Minto, NB; Peter McInroy, Musquodoboit Harbour, NS; Harry (Noreen) McInroy, Shediac, NB; Nancy Hall, Carlisle, ON; and Linda Holland, Los Osos, CA. She will be sadly missed by her 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 3 great - great grandchildren. Florence is survived by her brother Goldie (Marguerite) Power, Minto, NB, and will be remembered with love, by many nieces and nephews and extended family. Florence was predeceased by her husband Alexander (Sandy) McInroy; brother Don Power; sisters Ruby McInroy, Carmel Donovan, Norma Ostrom, Shirley Power, Leona Power; granddaughter Laura Hennessey; and, son in law Mark Hall. We will treasure forever memories of our mother's energy, wisdom and loving presence in our lives, for which we are deeply grateful. Visitation will take place at the Cresmount Funeral Home at 322 Fennell Avenue East, Hamilton, from 2 to 4 pm, and 7 to 9 pm on Thursday April 7th. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Sacred Heart Church, 19 Viewpoint Avenue, Hamilton, on Friday April 8th at 10:30am. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery at 254 Garner Road W Ancaster.
