

Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Sakura House, Woodstock after a long and courageous battle.
Devoted wife to Silvestro for 54 years, loving mother to Carol McMahon and Joe D’Ambrosio (Sue), doting grandma and nonna to Andrew McMahon, Olivia and Jacob D’Ambrosio.
She will be greatly missed by sister in law Rosa D’Ambrosio and nieces Josie D’Ambrosio and Dina Vandenberg (Peter) and nephew Tony DiGregorio (Domenica) in Hamilton. Also by brother Antonio Patrizio (Titina) in Venezuela and sister in law Angelina Patrizio in Italy and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents Giovanni and Maria Patrizio, brother Benedetto Patrizio, sisters Vincenza (Luigi) Patrizio and Anatolia DiGregorio (Nazarreno), parents-in-law Giuseppe and Chiara D’Ambrosio, brother in law Pasquale D’Ambrosio and sister in law Giovanna Leuzzi (Martino).
Francesca loved to cook, entertain and spend time with her family and friends. She was a long-time member of the Catholic Women’s League (CWL) and church choir. She will also be missed by the many friends she made on her life journey.
The family would like to thank those that provided care including Dr. Hunt and Dr. Elit of Hamilton, Dr. Bertrand of London, Dr. Sondhi and Dr. Fryer of Ingersoll as well as the many nurses and personal support workers via the CCACs in Hamilton and Oxford County. Visitation at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Sunday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm with Vigil Prayers at 3:45pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 128 Edgemont Street South, on Monday, November 4, 2013 at 10am. Entombment Our Lady of Victory Mausoleum, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
