PETRONIC, Frank After a lengthy illness, passed away peacefully at the Hamilton General Hospital on Thursday, September 22, 2011, in his 79th year. Predeceased by his dear wife Emily (1994). Lovingly remembered by daughters Anne Brunski (Joe) and Corinna Petronic. Cherished grampa of Ryan, Krysten and Michael. Will also be remembered by dear friend Dragica Prsa, daughter Angela Hurst (Rod) and granddaughters Kaitlin and Jennifer. Survived by his siblings John (Ingrid), Darko (Marica) from Kitchener, Anka Balkovec (Franjo) of Slovenia and many nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by families Barbara and Slavko Rozich, Nada and Drago Rozich, Ana and the late Nick Rahija and Kathy and Saul Glober. Also remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins throughout Canada, U.S.A., Slovenia and Croatia. Frank was a former President and Treasurer of ZVEZA, a long time member of BLED and C.F.U. for 50 years. A former hairdresser in Kirkland Lake and Stoney Creek, an avid fisherman, diehard Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Blue Jays and Hamilton Ti-Cats fan. A special thanks to the caring nurses on 8S at the Hamilton General Hospital and to Doctor Robert Ambis, his long time physician. The family will receive friends at the MARKEY DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Saturday, September 24th and Sunday, September 25th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers on Sunday at 7:30 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated from Holy Cross Croatian Catholic Church on Monday, September 26, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. Interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery to follow.
