Passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday July 5, 2014 at the age of 91. Dearly beloved husband of the late Doris Burke and loving father of the late George Daniel Burke. Cherished dad of Sandra Burke and her companion Alan Grapes. Lovingly remembered by 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. George was a long time member of Holy Family Parish, retiree of Stelco and Studebaker Canada as well as a veteran of WWII serving in the Canadian Infantry. Visitation will be at TRUSCOTT, BROWN & DWYER FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1309 King St. E. (across from Gage Park at the Delta) on Wednesday, July 9 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Family Parish (1393 Cannon Street East at Kenilworth) on Thursday, July 10 at 10 am with interment to follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
