George came to Canada in 1951 to finish his English education and began working at the Chicago restaurant in North Bay. In 1956 he returned to Hong Kong to marry Fern and the two of them returned to Canada.
In 1958 he began working at the famous Golden Dragon restaurant in North Bay. In the years to follow they had 4 children and in 1965 they moved to Dunnville to start his own business. Closing the restaurant in 1980, George moved to Hamilton and worked briefly at the popular Hamilton landmark The Chicken Roost before moving on to The Hamilton Convention Centre where he eventually retired at the age of 70.
His greatest pride was his family and he revelled in watching them. George has been a loving husband to Fern for 68 years and a wonderful father to Douglas, John, Kathy (Gordon) and Angela. Predeceased by his son Douglas and his brothers Harry and Edward. Will be missed by many grandchildren, great grandchildren many relatives and good friends.
