June 5, 1925 - July 2, 2016 It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our dear father. Dad always the proud Englishman loved his mother country. He joined the British Navy at the age of 22 and served as Chief Petty Officer upon mind sweepers. Dad moved to Canada in 1952 with his wife Milly and two daughters. He worked at the Steel Company of Canada as a first class welder where he retired after 35 years; he was fondly known as The Bulldog. Dad will be missed by daughter Julie (Fred) Jackson, daughter Carol (Doug) Cranston, and his only grandson Matthew Towsley and son Isaac, granddaughter Sarah (Jim) Hennessy and family, Christine Cranston and family, Deanna Cranston and family.
