Gerald Edward O'Halloran

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Gerald Edward O’Halloran on June 24, 2014 in his 77th year. Gerald is survived by his wife of 54 years Joyce and his three daughters Heather O’Halloran (Richard), Carol DeGroot (Peter) and ‘Joe’ O’Halloran (Sean). Gerald was a wonderful and loving grandfather to Matthew, Amanda (Daniel), Ryan, Sidney-Edward, Benjamin-Gerald, and his special BFF Andrew.

Gerald is survived by his sisters Eileen, Helen and Ruth and his brothers Leonard, Leo, and Douglas. He is reunited in heaven with his brother Sheldon.

Gerald is also survived by Eldon (Leona), Rena, Marilyn(Marc) and Irma (Arde) and numerous nieces and nephews as well as a huge extended family that included many dear friends near and afar. Gerald was retired from Ford Motor Company after 36+ years of service.

Pops will always be remembered for the kindness he showed to everyone and the love he had for his family.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Juravinski Center for all of their kindness and compassion during this difficult time.

Friends and family will be received at Markey-Dermody Funeral Home (1774 King St E) on Sun June 29th from 2-4 and 7–9 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the same location on Mon June 30th at 11 am followed by interment at Mount Hamilton Cemetery.
