Gerrit "Jerry" Jan Westenberg

WESTENBERG, Gerrit Jan Peacefully at St. Peter's Hospital on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 after a courageous and lengthy battle with cancer in his 84th year. Beloved husband of Johanna for over 58 years. Loving father of Henrietta Saynook (Derek), Ron (Jeanine) and Drew (Linda). Cherished and loved grandfather of Tara, Samantha, Nicole, Catarina, Gerrit, Tomas, and Lucas. Survived by his sisters Dien (Geert, predeceased), Riek (Jerry, predeceased) and is predeceased by his brothers John (Henny, predeceased), Johan (Ena), Henk (Mary) and Herman (Joke). Also dear brother-in-law of Janny (Ab, predeceased) of Holland. Will also be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. The family will receive friends at the CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 1020 Upper James Street, Hamilton, on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the chapel of the Funeral Home on Monday at 11 a.m. Interment North Glanford Cemetery.
