Gloria Darlene McCleary

Predeceased by her parents, Paul and Doreen Dorsch, her sister Carol, and beloved husband of 46 years, Myles.

Dear mother of Shawn (Melanie), proud grandmother to Akasha, and cherished aunt of Kristine (John) Duench and Scott (Darleen) Beaumont, as well as many other nieces and nephews.

Gloria, the life of the party, lit up every room she entered and will be sorely missed by countless friends and acquaintances – each of whom held a special place in her heart. Her energy was infectious and stayed with a person long after any interaction. Gloria had an exceptional career at McMaster University, and enjoyed her retirement in Welland, playing cards at the Community Centre, volunteering, worshipping and learning through Central United Church, and attending live shows with her dear friends.

Family will receive friends at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Ave. East, Hamilton, on Friday, February 6, 2026. Visitation will be from 10 am to 12 pm with Funeral Service at 12 pm in the Cresmount Chapel and reception to follow. Burial at Mount Hamilton Cemetery.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer, Diabetes Association or Central United Church - Community Ministries (Welland), would be appreciated by the family.
