It is with sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Gord “Gordie” Tremain on Saturday, January 6th, 2018 at age 95. Gord was a veteran of WWII, a proud member of Legion 163 and a retired Dofasco employee. He is predeceased by his beloved wife of 55 years, Ethel and grandson Mark. Devoted father of Joanne, Jim, Pat and son-in-law John. Will be forever missed by grandchildren Kelly (Kevin), Kathryn(Shane), Shawn, Jamie(James), Russell, Colleen, great grandsons Jonathan, Calvin and Clayton and dozens of nieces and nephews. Heartfelt thanks to the caring staff of Tara Retirement Home. We will be forever grateful to the dedicated EMS, firefighters and police officers who supported us during our loss. Visitation will take place at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Ave. E., on Friday, January 12th 5-7p.m. Funeral service on Saturday, January 13th 11a.m. in the chapel. Cremation to follow. After the service, friends and family are invited to join us at Legion 163, 435 Limeridge Rd. E., Hamilton, ON. The gallant soldier rests, His sparkling eyes are closed! All earthly cares are gone as the piper takes him home!
