Greg Hammer Phillips

After a brief illness Greg passed away at the Juravinski Hospital on December 26, 2017 in his 58th year. Loving husband of Lisa (nee Wilson). Dear brother of Tom (Brenda) Phillips, of BC, and uncle to Erick, Neil, and Brad and their families. Brother-in-law of Ric (Savatrie) Wilson, Anita Boucher, Glen Wilson, Mitch (May) Wilson, Mike (Donna) Wilson, Kathy Jerred, Dennis (Cathy) Wilson, Linda (Dave) Roberge, Marty (Kim) Wilson, Doug Harkness. Will be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Will be missed by his loving companion Hudson. Predeceased by his parents Jim and Dorothy Phillips, his brothers-in-law Albert Wilson, Rod Jerred, Gerrard Boucher, and sister-in-law Debi Harkness. Greg was a proud Hamilton Firefighter for 31 years, and served in the Canadian Armed Forces. Greg has a passion for traveling, meeting people, experiencing different cultures, and had a great ability to make new friends wherever he went. Cremation has taken place. Friends may call at the MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Tuesday January 2, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, where a Memorial Service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday morning January 3, 2018 at 11 am.
