Sadly we announce the passing of our father at age 95. Devoted husband of Kathleen Beveridge (Dec 2012) for 67 years. Cherished father of Nancy (Clyde Williams), Brian (Doris), Lorraine (Wayne Sinker). Proud grandfather of eight and great-grandfather of eight. Survived by sister Pauline Bell (Des) and sisters-in-law Mildred Baptist and Barbara Smith. Predeceased by brothers Campbell and Tom Smith of Sarnia. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Employed by Hamilton Hydro for 35 years until he retired in 1983. Dad enjoyed golf, square dancing, camping, woodworking and travelling. Dad will be remembered as a kind, generous, family oriented gentleman, always willing to help others. Thanks to staff at Idlewyld Manor for their patience, care and compassion. Family will receive friends at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Ave. E., on Wednesday, January 31st from 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Thursday, February 1st at 1 p.m. in the chapel. Interment to follow at Mt. Hamilton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Alzheimer's Society.
