Passed away peacefully on June 12, 2012 at the age of 79 at Juravinski Hospital. Beloved mother of Patrick Simmons (Bonnie) and Marianne Susan Sinker (Garnet). Grandmother of Leah. Survived by her sisters Marie Kochan (Mike – deceased), Ann Konawal (Tony), Margaret Paulekat, Laverna Eldridge (Kevin) and her brothers John Gabla and George Gabla (Doreen). Helen will be missed by her many friends and extended family members. Arrangements have been entrusted to TRUSCOTT, BROWN & DWYER FUNERAL CHAPEL (905-549-2417). Following her wishes, cremation has taken place and a scattering service will be held at Bayview Cemetery (Burlington) on Monday, June 18 at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial donations to the Heart And Stroke Foundation.
