In 1958, she left Italy and sailed to Canada to marry her fiancé and to begin her new life here. She was a stay-at-home mom who cared for us and was always there when we got home and for that we will forever be grateful. She embraced her new life here, but was always fiercely proud of being Friulana.
She loved to vacation with family and friends, play bingo and cards and cook for everyone.
In her final years, she enjoyed her many friendships and activities at her retirement home.
She leaves behind her son Mike (Mina) Ermacora, Maria (Andrew) Brenyo, her son-in-law Dietmar Goerner and her grandchildren Alex, Christian, Julian, Adrian and Sophia, her sisters Ada and Vilma in Italy as well as many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her parents, Santo and Yolanda Picili, her sisters, Bruna and Zita, her brother, Gianni and her niece, Maria Grazia.
