Ida Stefanie Ulbinas

ULBINAS, Ida Stefanie (Dambrauskas) died peacefully in her sleep of an aging body on Friday, February 9, 2024 in Hamilton, Ontario at the age of 91. Beloved wife of the late Lucius (Louis) Ulbinas (June 5, 1998). Ida, the tobacco farmer’s daughter of the late John and Alexandra Dambrauskas of Langton, Ontario. Loving mother and matriarch of Rita, Louie/Lou and Steve (Dolores). Grandmother of Derrick (Gabriela), Jesse, Lacey, Bradshaw (Chassity), Todd (Gielyn), the late great Lucas, Stephanie and Daniel. Of course, followed by many loving great-grandchildren in Ontario and Florida, as well as many fabulous nieces and nephews. Ida was preceded in death by the best brothers she could have ever wanted, John, Bob and Ed and sister-in-law Sally. Ida will be missed by sister-in-laws Pat and Judy. On the Ulbinas side of the family Ida will be missed by Rita DiCenzo. Predeceased by brother-in-law Al (Wanda) and sister-in-law Rasa. Ida was born in Montreal. At a young age her family relocated where she became a tobacco farmer’s daughter in Langton, Ontario. Her life was full and colourful, thanks to her endless list of friends.

Visitation will be held at Marlatt Funeral Home (905-528-6303), 615 Main Street East, Hamilton, on Wednesday February 14, from 2:00-4:00pm (Prayers at 3:00pm) and 6:00-8:00pm. Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Mercy Lithuanian Church, 58 Dundurn St. North, Hamilton, on Thursday, February 15 at 10:00am. Interment at St. John’s Lithuanian Cemetery, 2185 Stavebank Road, Mississauga, with reception to follow.
