Mr. Ivan Ceranic

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Ivan, on Sunday, June 6, 2010, at home with family by his side after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Beloved husband of Slavica (Gloria), for 46 years. Loving and devoted father of Maryanne (Dan) Kolibash and Joanne. Cherished grandfather of Madison and Ella Kolibash. He will be sadly missed by sister Antonija (Croatia), sister-in-law Anne (Drago) Barkovic, sister-in-law Kathy (Doug) Warwick, as well as many nieces, nephews, friends and kumovi. Predeceased by brothers Victor Josip and Velimir. A proud employee of Dofasco for 25 years. A special thanks to Dr. Marissa Slaven of the Juravinski Cancer Centre for all her help and support. The family will receive friends at the Markey-Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Wednesday, June 9th from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Vigil Prayers on Wednesday at 7:15 p.m. Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at Holy Cross Church on Thursday, June 10th, at 9:30 a.m. Entombment to follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of lowers, donations can be made to Holy Cross Croatian Church or the Juravinski Cancer Centre.
