Ivan (Janez) Hocevar

Suddenly at home on Friday November 30, 2012 in his 78th year. Beloved husband of Mary. Dear father to John(Olga), Nina (Mike), Tony (Joyce), Helen (Lindsay) and grandfather to Johnny (Kristina), Jason, Joey, Michael, Lisa, Jamieson, Liana (Bobby), John (Corinne) and great grandfather to Sierra. Stepfather to Ida and step grandfather to Alex. Ivan is survived by sisters Marija, Jozica and Ivica in Slovenia and sisters-in-law Cecilia Sobocan and Marta Hocevar. Lovingly remembered by many wonderful friends and family. Retired employee of International Harvester with 30 years of service, A long time member of the St Gregory the Great Church and a 40 year member of the Church Choir. Founder of Bled Slovenian Social Club in Beamsville and also a member of the Bled Choir. The family will receive friends at the MARKEY DERMODY FUNERAL HOME 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Tuesday from 2-9pm. Vigil Prayers Tuesday at 8pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated from St Gregory the Great Church (125 Centennial Parkway N) on Wednesday December 5, 2012 at 10am. Followed by interment at Our Lady of the Angels Cemetery (Mud Street Stoney Creek) In lieu of flowers donations to St Gregory the Great Church is appreciated.
