Ivan is survived by his son, George (Karen), and granddaughter, Jaclyn. He is also survived by his Aunt Jean and two cousins, Dan (Susan) and Roman (Velvet), and their families.
Born in Ukraine, Ivan emigrated to Canada in 1952. He met the love of his life, Halyna, and the two were happily married for 61 years. Ivan worked as a draftsman/supervisor at Consumer Glass for over 30 years. He was a hard-working, compassionate, and well-respected member of the community. He touched many lives and was adored and loved by all who knew him.
Ivan was a long-time member of Holy Spirit Ukrainian Catholic Church. The family held a private funeral service at the church on Wednesday, April 14, 2021. He was then laid to rest at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery in Burlington.
