Peacefully with his wife by his side on June 10, 2014 at the Juravinski Hospital in his 90th year. Beloved husband of Mary for 63 years. Much loved father of Marilyn Kruchka, Karen (Glen) Hursley, Brian (Kathy), Eva Finochio and Sean. Favorite grandpa to twelve grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Predeceased by his siblings Ray, Ollie, Bob and Lonnie. Missed by his brother’s Leroy, Hugh and sister’s Eva (Bill), Violet and Joan. Remembered by his brother-in-law Frank and sister-in-law Myrtle. Jack was a veteran of World War II, serving in the RCN and RCNVR. He was a lifetime member of the Navy Vets, a member of branch 163 Legion and an employee of Dofasco for 40 years. Family will receive friends at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Ave. E., on Thursday, June 12th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral and Legion service will take place on Friday, June 13th at 11 a.m. in the chapel. Interment to follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Red Cross or Salvation Army would be appreciated.
