My deepest condolences to the family. 
I have fond memories of a smiling boy with a twinkle in his eye, playing in Phys Ed.  He loved sports and was a kind and gentle friend.

I am so very sorry to hear of Jake's passing and I am sending all of you my deepest condolences during this very difficult time.

I have fond memories of Jake at Norwood Park School. I remember his athleticism and fierceness on the court,  and yet he was a gentle giant (as he was always taller than I am).  Jake was kind,  he had a good sense of humour, and had a contagious smile.  He enjoyed listening to his mom read him stories every morning as they walked to school. These are just a few of my memories of Jake.                                                            May you find comfort in the memories that you shared together knowing that he will always be with you - in your heart and in your memories.

My heart cries out in sorrow for your son, and brother and my nephew.

I remember how excited our sister, Delphine and I were when Jake and Nik were born, and our mother was over the moon with joy.  Jake was loved from the moment he was born.  I remember hearing Jake and Nik bubbling with laughter, their cheeks rosy and their eyes full of mischief.  I remember them squealing with delight swinging in their airplane swing Pete had built for them.  I remember their eyes filled with curiosity as they peered at the world around them from their stroller on walks around the block and along the mountain brow at Grandma's house. 

Jake loved nature and I have wonderful memories of exploring the Bruce trail for fossils and salamanders with him, Nik and Margo.  Jake was an excellent basketball player, and I enjoyed watching him and Nik show me how far away from the hoop they could sink the ball.  Jake loved his Grandma very much and I remember the fun we had at her 70th birthday picnic playing bocci at Ball's Falls.   I was thankful to have gone on one last hike with Jake at Albion falls on my last visit to Hamilton.   
I will always treasure my memories of my nephew, Jake.

Matt and I are heartbroken on hearing of the passing of your son Jakob. We have many fond memories walking home from Norwood with the boys. 

Dear Margo, Pete and Nik. You are in my thoughts daily. I am heart broken.  There are no words that can convey my sorrow for you. Jak will be sadly missed by us all. I'm glad to see that so many have wonderful memories to share.

One of my more recent memories of Jake was the summer you all were at a cottage  on the Bruce Penninsula.
On the Sunday you came to spend the day at Owen Sound’s Summerfolk Music Festival where I was one of the craft vendors.
Never before and never since have I been able to pack and leave the show so quickly due to the willingness and the helpfulness of both Jake and Nik working with me to tear down the booth and pack the van.
A testament to both of their kind and thoughtful natures.

After a decade in school together, I think it's safe to say that it wasn't easy to see this name here. And although we grew apart once we reached high school, I was still able to carry all of our memories with me.

The many memories that I have with Jake took place in middle school. I was close with his brother Nik first and eventually spent a lot of time with both of them. I remember a lot of phone calls with jokes being made, along with many other conversations about music. I remember him as a very soft-spoken, kind, and intelligent person. I was always amazed by the facts that both him and his brother could come up with on the fly and i am so glad to see that he continued to enjoy nature. 

Jake, you are missed so much by so many.

Living in distant Calgary, I was not around to share in  your lives personally, but thankfully, phone calls,  old time correspondence and eventually emails, kept me somewhat aware of the growth and developments of you all. Leslie just showed me some photos he was (and they are) a spitting image of you Peter, one photo on the memory photos so reminded me of you as a youth I had to ask Leslie if that really was Jake.
No parent should have to bury a child  or should a brother.  Yet it’s a reality ... I would like to believe Jean greeted him with open arms for her birthday.
I don’t have any photos to share but I can share my condolences to you Peter, Margo and Nik.
I can’t imagine anything  harder ... but I know courage and love will bring you all through to place of acceptance.

You were my quiet protector when we were kids, you even kept me company during gym class when I had broken my arm and couldn’t participate. Between you and Nik you tagged teamed on the phone with me after school most days and taught me about music, sports and life. Around you, I always felt safe, accepted and like part of the gang - even when you were terrifying me with your screemo and scary stories. 

In the early years of high school, I remember us sitting together by our lockers in the mornings sharing laughs and memories and sometimes saying nothing at all. You were always such a good listener. 

Quiet strength. That was how I always saw you. 

It’s strange, I haven’t spoken to you in so long, but now suddenly knowing that I’ll never be able to hear your voice again makes my heart ache. You touched the lives of so many and impacted each and every one. This world won’t be the same without you my old friend. I hope that you’re at rest now and that you’re surrounded by the things you loved. You will be sorely missed. 

Mr. and Mrs. Codsi (I don’t care how old I am, I’m not calling you by your first names, it still feels weird lol), you raised some amazing young men. My mom and I send our deepest condolences to you and your family at this time.
