DARBY, James Peacefully passed away on October 5, 2012, in his 91st year. Beloved husband and best friend to Madeline. Born and educated in Hamilton. Proud Veteran of R.C.N.V.R. Retired from teaching in 1985. He taught various schools in the city at Westdale, Delta, Sir Winston Churchill and Sir John A. McDonald Secondary Schools. He was a member of Doric 654 A.F.A.M Lodge 382 and Lodge of Ancient Landmarks. Jim was a past member of Dundas Golf and Curling Club where he curled for 20 years. He was also a member of the Church of the Nazarene. Pre-deceased by his first wife Lois in 1985. Survived by his sons Terry (Margie), Paul (Mary) and Jim (Mimi). Also by his grandchildren Kim, Erin, Tyler, Nathan, Michael, David great-grandchildren Owen and Hailey. Visitation will be held at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME 322 Fennell Avenue East on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 from 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at 1 p.m. Interment to follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Mountain Church of the Nazarene would be appreciated by the family.
