Jean Mary Lahie

She was predeceased by her loving husband Reginald (2021). Mom will be sadly missed by her children Stephen, Peter (predeceased Joanne), Susan Sykes (Jim) and David (JoNel). A proud and special grandma to Jason (Shelly), Christy (Cody), Mike (Natasha), Jennifer (Mike), Jeffrey (Sarah), Daniel (Clare), Lauren (Ryan), Sarah, Holly (Brian) and Johnathan. Loving great grandma to 13. Predeceased by her parents Mabel and Charles Dunbar and her sisters Grace Goodwin, Thelma Burnett, Beryl (Babe) Poplaski and brother William (Bill) Wrixten. Jean was loved by many nieces and nephews.

Jean and Reg were a fixture in Westdale Village for over 40 years as owners of Carruth Shoes. Her passion for gardening, knitting, sewing and many other things kept her busy. A sincere thank you to the staff on 3A at Macassa Lodge and special thanks to Krista for always putting a smile on mom's face.

Visitation will take place at Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Avenue East, Hamilton on Friday July 11, 2025, from 4 pm – 7 pm. A private family burial will take place on Saturday July 12th.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
