Jean Clara Nichols

NICHOLS, Jean Clara (nee Pritchard) It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our loving mother, cherished grandmother and proud great-grandmother, on Tuesday, April 19, 2011, at the age of 81, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by her husband Thomas Henry Nichols (2004). Dear mother and mother-in-law of Thomas and Nancy Nichols, Patricia and Bruno Mascioli, James and Maureen Nichols. Devoted grandmother to Michelle and Jaymes Edgar, Tina and Luka Latkovic, Sabrina and Mike Desjardins, Mellissa and Brandon Smith, Jennifer Nichols and Kristopher Nichols. Cherished great-grandmother to Roberto, Jayme and Caitlyn Edgar, Thomas, Lillian and Ethan Nichols, Nicholas and Sebastian Latkovic and Dylan Nichols. She will be sadly missed by her sister Pearl Corrigan and her husband Vince and her brothers Jack Pritchard and his wife Gladys, Joe Pritchard and Jim Pritchard and his wife Mary. Predeceased by her sisters Dorothy Abbott and Grace Kohen. She will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Special thanks to Dr. Ambis and Kerry-Ann and Wendy, V.O.N.s at Palliative Care for their care and compassion. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to McMaster Children's Hospital would be appreciated by the family. Today we lost a mother, a grandmother, a great-grandmother and a friend. We will always remember her kind and generous ways. We were truly blessed to have had her in our lives and she will forever be in our hearts. Until we meet again. XO XO
