It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Jo Ann at her home on May 6, 2018. Beloved wife to David and loving mother to Katie, Ryan, Darcy and the late Casey. Cherished grandmother to Ayden. She was predeceased by her parents, Helen and Joseph Morrison. Dear sister to Jim (Kim) and Heather (Lenny). Proud daughter-in-law to Donald (the late Norma) McFarlane. Jo Ann was a proud employee with Canada Revenue Agency with over 28 years of service. Jo Ann and David were formally united as a couple January 27, 1999 in St. Lucia which started annual vacations to many islands in the south, culminating in a visit to her favourite island, St. Maarten, which they fell in love with. They visited semi-annually where they met and made great friends too numerous to name. Along with her love of the island, Jo Ann loved to cook not only for her family but for many, proof of which is dozens and dozens of cookbooks that occupy the many bookshelves in the home. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Liver Foundation would be greatly appreciated by her family.
