Joann Lopez

With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Joann on Thursday, August 12, 2010 at the Hamilton General Hospital at the age of 55, surrounded by her loving family. Dearly beloved wife of Mike and precious mother of Sherri Lynn Lopez (Rob) and Micheal Lopez (Kelly). Special "nana" to Michael, Elizabeth, Ashley, Clarissa and Chelsea. Loved daughter of Lucie Mallais-Arsenault and the late Alcide Mallais. Cherished sister of Gilmonde Schweitzer (Larry), Rosemonde Carter (Jim), Muriel Malcolmson (Joe), Alex Mallais and Vernon Mallais. Lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews and their families. The family will receive friends at the MARKEY- DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King St. E. (at Kenilworth) on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Prayer service in the funeral home Sunday at 8:30 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated from St. Francis Xavier Church on Monday at 10 a.m. followed by interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
