Suddenly passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Hospital at the age of 58. Beloved husband of Sylvia for 33 years. Loving Dad of Johnny (Evie), Matthew (Stephanie), Daniel, and David. Cherished Grandpa of Ariana. Dear brother of Irene (Pat) and Sue. Born and raised in Hamilton, John spent 28 years working at Stelco / Stelwire and was enjoying his retirement. His hobbies included woodworking, hunting, fishing, boating, and the cottage life. He was also passionate about classic cars and loved working on them. Most importantly, he was highly devoted to his wife and sons. Cremation has taken place. A memorial visitation will be held at the Marlatt Funeral Home, 615 Main St. East (east of Sanford), Hamilton, on Friday, February 17th from 12 p.m. – 2 p.m. Memorial service to follow in the Marlatt Chapel at 2 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
