John Sylvester Madronich

Peacefully at Emmanuel House, Hamilton, on Thursday, April 23, 2015 in his 82nd year. John, beloved husband of the late Isobelle (nee Morton). Loving friend and partner of Pamela Barr. Loving father of Rob, James, and Tom. Cherished grandfather of Jennifer, Christopher, Emily, Lauren, Maddie, and Mikayla. Brother of Edward and the late Bill. John was born in Kirkland Lake and was raised in Beamsville. He attended Beamsville High School and the University of Western Ontario and graduated with a degree in Medicine in 1960. He then specialized in Ophthalmology which he practiced in Hamilton. John was a longtime member of the Hamilton Golf and Country Club, an avid gardener, winemaker and needle pointer. We would like to thank Emmanuel House for their compassionate care including Dr. Kerrigan, Kerry Ann, and Loretta and a special thank you to Dr. Achong for his help, support, patience and understanding. We would also like to thank St. Joseph’s Home Care. Visitation at MARLATT FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 615 Main Street East (east of Sanford Ave.) Hamilton (905-528-6303) on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at 11 a.m. Interment Hamilton Cemetery.
