Beloved husband of Lynda and loving father of Denise (Mike), Ernie (Lynda), Patricia, and Roberta. He was the proud grandfather of 11 and great-grandfather of 9. He will also be fondly remembered by his sisters Diane (Woody) and Pat (John), stepson Glen, and many other extended family and close friends. He was predeceased by his sisters Marian and Helen, his brother Bruce, and step-son Dale.
John was a crane operator at Stelco; retiring at the age of 48, when he became an avid golfer. A special thank you to his home care nurse that took wonderful care of him.
Relatives and friends are invited to Visitation at the Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Avenue East, Hamilton on Sunday, April 27th from 2 – 4 pm and 7 – 9 pm. The Funeral Service to celebrate John’s life will take place in the Cresmount Chapel on Monday, April 28, 2025, at 1 pm. Cremation will follow.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
