John Addison Whicher

It is with immense sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of John Whicher after a year long brave battle with cancer. He was a loving and generous husband, father and grandfather.

He will be deeply missed by his devoted wife Gail, his loving daughter Kimberly (Joseph), his adoring grandchildren Karly and Matthew as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. John had a life long career as a heavy equipment operator with Sims and Dufferin Construction Companies. He was very well respected in his field of work. John retired at 60 and had many years to enjoy his family and friends. John was a man with many interests in which he participated, including: stock car racing, snow mobile racing, baseball, broomball, hunting, billiards and watching Nascar races. John and Gail have camped at Grand Oaks Park for 45 years making many friends along the way. They also enjoyed travelling to Cuba each year and made amazing friendships with staff at the resorts. Our loving thoughts and memories of John will be with us forever. A special thanks to Dr. Juergens and her team for all their support.
