Johnetta Jane Mark

Johnetta is predeceased by her parents, Christopher and Josephine Marin; her first husband, Frank Liverpool; her daughter, Susan Liverpool; her son, Timothy Liverpool; and her siblings, Mark Marin, Vincent Marin, Ivan Marin, Kenneth Marin, Trevor Marin, and Merle Joseph.

She is survived by her dear son, Roger “Billy” Liverpool (Sita), and grandchildren, Tyler Kaprusiak, Joseph Liverpool, Daniel Liverpool, and Mariah Liverpool.

She will be missed by her siblings, Marjorie Williams (Michael), Moisalie Marin, Pearly Watson, Trevor Marin, Lennox Marin, and many relatives and friends in Canada, the U.S., and Trinidad.

Johnetta lived a life shaped by resilience, humour, and love of family. She was known for her strong work ethic, spending many years supporting her family through hard work and dedication. Outside of work, she found happiness in simple pleasures—baking, cooking, and music. She will be remembered for her steady strength, her infectious laugh, and the deep love she held for her family. Her legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched.

Visitation is at Markey Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street East, Hamilton, on Sunday, March 15 from 4:00–7:00 p.m.

A funeral service will be held in the funeral home’s chapel on Monday, March 16 at 11:00 a.m. Burial to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Burlington.
