Joseph "Joe" Jakabffy

Born on July 26, 1942, in Magyar, Saskatchewan and raised in Hamilton, Ontario where he remained throughout his adult life.

Loving father of his two daughters, Connie Millar-Jakabffy (son-in-law David Millar) and Kerry Jakabffy. Cherished grandfather to Nichole Majerovich (husband Joey Majerovich), Jaclyn De Azevedo (husband Frank De Azevedo), Joel Millar and Blake Pacific and great-grandfather to Emilia, Olivia and Joseph Majerovich, Christiano and Jaxon De Azevedo. Dear brother of Helen Ferleyko, Betty Mallory and Velma Crumblehulme (husband Phil Walker). Survived by his prior wife, Sharon Jakabffy (nee Balsdon) and his friend Michelle Hann.

Joe is preceded by his parents, Steve Jakabffy and Elizabeth Jakabffy (nee Tutossi), his brother, Steve Jakabffy (Teresa Jakabffy, nee Yantha), brother-in-law’s, Albert Ferleyko and Donald Mallory. Joe will be forever remembered for his love of life and the simple things that he valued most, and his unwavering kindness and dedication to others.

Resting at Markey-Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street East, Hamilton for visitation on Friday, May 31, 2024, from 10-12 p.m. A chapel service will be held at 12 p.m., followed by a light luncheon.
